End of season.

Ohh well we finally lost a damn game. The "fireballer" Per didnt just win,, he shut us out... Jeez haha... But is was fun. This weekend we got a vistit from my old boys Malmö. Parmach pitched very well for them and the game was scary close and extra innings is something that im not used to. It was kinda poetic though that i got up to bat with Frans on second and smacked a double to tie the game. THEN 2 innings later we had Frans once again on second, I told Geo to send him to 3rd, good throw by Manny BUT perfect slide from Frans and he was just one base from the win.

I dont know what Mike tossed but it was nice titts high and game over... GOT TO FUCKING LOVE IT. I had a few game winning hits playing in my other teams BUT as you can understand this was by far the sweetest one !!!

In a game like this,,and last weeks loss its very evident how much a guy like Bart mean to our lineup. With his swing he could change any of these games on his own, ohh well he is back for the clash against Sölves and i got to say im really happy about that ( even if he is a dork) J/K

Then we have Frans who is leaving us for the damn lusekoftor weirdos in Norway. He is going to snowboard and go nuts the whole winter... he will be missed. I tried last year to get Frans to play with Malmö but it wasnt workable with work and the distance for him. So when i got him to play with us in Helsingborg this year i was very happy... And as all of the team knows he was very important for us. GOOD LUCK FRANS AND HOPE TO HAVE YOU HERE AGAIN NEXT SEASON.

kerry+bart VS Göteborg

Hey, first i have alot of respect for the guys from Göteborg. These guys have faught alot just to get their own field. Second.. these guys are very nice. mr. Martin, mr Pennycook ( if i misspelled your name.... no offence) hey hats off for your work.

Mr K . Fitz... we all knew from the first three pitches that Sharks where in trouble. K was on fire and with a defence behind him ... we where great.
Göteborg... i know the aluminium bat are better...sorry where old and play in div 2.
hitting... we all did pretty well.. Somebody had the golden sombrero.???? BUT there was somebody that had 2.,,, yes div2 people,, 2 homeruns in the same game... I think i love you B haha.... ANYWAY, im looking into if i can leave a day early from the national team camp in Holland to play this game... i mean... holy shit where in the semi finals of the swedish cup haha... cool-

Sölvesborg, Love em or hate em ??

Why is it that Sölvesborg is the team you love to hate... or atleast for some people.
I dont understand that cause i think these guys are really nice. Kalle can be a little,,,hmm how can i put it...,,, he can be a little like me. haha.. I guess that is why i love the guy... He wanna win and so do i.. I think that is the reason we get along !!! And the rest of the guys are just cool d00ds... ( read exept the traitor Skiles =) ) Kinda feel sorry for Janne that he got the last ball down the line and couldnt make the play... but if Janne reads this maybe i should tell him that it was our stategy... Ohh well...
2 Wins against Sölves is always nice and a must if we wanna try to win this thing... And as always its hard to beat Sölves with Kalle pitching...We will have the oppertunity once again this year im sure. Plus we didnt use our normal starting pitchers wich made this even better.. Now we have used all our 7 pitchers this year and its great that all of us have some innings...
Today i had the pleasure of umpiring Malmö VS Kungsbacka... 1 game each... But Kungsbacka didnt have any pitchers with them so i guess the score was fair..
Next 2 weeks were playing my old team Malmö... ( why they have put it so we play eachother back to back i have no idea) This is going to be fun, Malmö is a cool team with alot of nice guys. Ofcourse its going to be hard to beat them but im sure that if we do our best then we will be hard to beat. Pitchingwise we are looking good... Injury wise were not looking that good wich means that our midinfield have to change alittle... Anyway.. we will have fun with my old friends..

Season started and it feels Good,, doesnt it ?

God, doesnt it feel good to be out there again ??!!
First off the Svenska cupen game against Lund, All of you understand that for me that was the win of this year. No matter the reasons, its allways nice to beat your old team. Specially when where "supposed" to loose, BUT hey we have a 53 year young pitcher that is comptetive like hell and he is not going to give them anything for free. Kerry´s pitching was perfect and Lunds pitching was less Kerry Thats it.. Kerry´s game ! Lets see if he can bring it against Göteborg!!
Season start away against Kungsbacka was not easy task by any means. Kungsbacka is one of those teams that is very hard to play. They have older and younger guys and they will hit your pitches. Im very happy that we left Kungsbacka with 2 wins, AND that we got some innings out of most our pitchers. Myself and K got the wins and B and F got the saves.. NICE executed.
Hittingwise we smacked the hell out of the ball !! Or atleast some of us =) Serious it looked good and the guys that is supposed to make it happen did, and that is really good for the team.
I dont know if Helsingborg gives out mvp awards for games, but my MVP against Kungsbacka is Geo for hitting well and playing really good D.
Jönköping is always nice to face... They where a better team then usuall and they tried to put up a fight... BUT this is our strenght this year i belive, WE HIT THE DAMN BALL ! No matter what spot in the lineup, we smack them around ! Without saying any names here in the blog so that our opponents know what im talking about, there was some NICE hitting from the G man. And our big guy homerun, holy shit that was deep =). Other then that were still doing well and im really looking foreward to face Tranås B this weekend. Hopefully we can pull it toghether so that we can bring it to Sölves, who as a matter of fact played against Malmö this sunday and actually lost one game. I umpired so i got some inside info on the thingy. Malmö used 2 Div 1 pitchers and one American registred for Div 2. I guess all the div 2 pitchers where hurt ??!! Anyway, those teams look good and im defenatly looking foreward to some hard battles against these guys. I will make some more blogg entries then i have in the past.. I simply had too much to do and im really tired from hitting all those doubles... haha... Just kidding... !!!
And if your wondering who was my MVP for the Jönköping games... I have 2, Big guy for hitting a ton and striking out everybody AND not seriously injuring my catching hand. And Coach G for seriously bouncing back batting and walking like a madman this weekend.
Isnt baseball funny? One day you can be 3 for 6 and life is good, the weekend after your O´fer and back down in the cellar.!!! Remember all you need is one hit per game and you have a decent batting average... But if you wanna mess with the GEO, you have to do WAY better then that... CHEERS !!!!

Dreaming of Spring.

The weather has a tendency to play pranks on Swedish Baseball players. A couple of weeks with perfect weather, but beware, it can snow tomorrow.. Ohh well its still smells like spring, and we have started to make the field presentable, the "big boys" ( no reference to Roids) in the States have started to play, and my new Harley Davidson Heritage softail has touched the roads, so i guess we can oficially call this time SPRING!!. Anyway for me starting in a new team i have to say that i really think that i have become a part of this team. Riding home from a practise with Christian he said the same thing " I have started to like this team more and more", and i just have to agree. Im really looking foreward to the season and have some fun and play some ball with all of you.
Somebody askes me if now we where going to have a big rivarly with Malmö?? For me there is no rivarly between me and them or Helsingborg and Malmö. We have to realize that we play a very small sport, actually smaller then Korpen Soccer in any given city, so there is no room for people beeing pissed at eachother... In order for our sport to survive we have to pull toghether and hopefully we can play for many years to come and the sport will survive...( this year we lost 2 more teams, Vidigsjö and Skövde) Im sure that they wanna beat us really bad and im sure that they wanna strike me out and all that... thats fine.. I LOVE if it could come to a competetive level like that... and all i can say " Bring it on ".
Sölvesborg is always a hard team to beat, and im sure it will be the same this year.
Jönköping had a bad season last year but we all know that there was alot of games they could and maybe should have won, and hopefully they have some players back that are not Rockstars this summer ( read Im from Barcelona)
Kungsbacka is always hard to beat due to that they have alot of old school doods that have played for years and years. In my book this will be the team to beat this year. And once again we all remember the end of last season when they came with a completly different team then the beginning of the season... Cant wait !!!
Norrköping, The new guys.. I have played against them for fun in a practise game a few years ago. They have a very nice organisation in their club it seems and the people that i have been in contact with are supernice, so im sure it will be fun to have these guys around and we have a little advantage that were playing 2 practise games against them 21st of April..
CANT WAIT !!! All winter and all the hours in the gym and in Hittarpshallen making double plays, it has all been about me Dreaming of Spring.
